Haçeteria! Feb. 4
If Breath Control’s recent Hole-iday performance in the Head Shop Boys is any indicator of what is to come this February, we can expect a full performance in sight, stage and sound. One of the Bay Area’s top gear gurus, Breath Control, aka Greg Zifcak creates original tunes that are a modern take on vintage house and techno sounds from decades ago. Zifcak excels in steering around the unpredictable bend, obscured by the fog and darkness. Past work in Eats Tapes and Wav Dwgs exemplify Zifcak’s masterful programming of crisp percussion and hazy jack-your-body synths.

Haçeteria is a monthly dance night organized by DJs Nihar, Tristes Tropiques, Jason P and Smac, who play the steamiest electronic dance music, mostly from the era spanning 1986-1993, including: Chicago House, Acid, Detroit Techno, Italo Disco, New Beat, Electronic Body Music, Hip-House and more. Club Haçeteria is also dedicated to highlighting a diverse array of live electronic dance musicians that are breaking new ground while moving bodies on the dance floor. Haceteria takes place every first Saturday at the Deco Lounge at Larkin and Turk.
