Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite is keen to secure a win over Liverpool to end his spell at Goodison Park before moving to a new stadium.

Liverpool have lost once in the Premier League this season and will visit Goodison Park for the final time knowing a win would take them nine points clear at the top of the table.

Branthwaite scored the opening goal when Everton beat their Merseyside rivals 2-0 in March to effectively end their title hopes in Jurgen Klopp’s final season in charge.

The Toffees will hope for a similarly energised performance after a run of three league wins in a row following David Moyes’ reappointment in January.

“It’s an important game, but we’re just focus on winning and performing at our best, not just to reward the fans, but also for ourselves.”

“It’s a Merseyside derby, it’s another game we want to win. If you take it too seriously you can get too much pressure, so for us we just have to go into the game with the belief that we can produce results like last season.”

“For us, it’s just another game. If you make it too big, it increases the pressure. We have to go in and play our best and see what we can do.”
