Real Madrid forward Rodrygo admits it’s always tough playing against Pep Guardiola’s Man City.
Real Madrid are set to kick off their Champions League play-off campaign with a trip to Manchester City on Tuesday.
“Pep Guardiola said I’m a dangerous player? That’s a compliment. He’s one of the greatest coaches ever,” Rodrygo said before the game.

The Brazil international also spoke about his own links with Manchester City and the Saudi Arabian outfit.
“Manchester City and Saudi clubs are interested in signing me? I don’t know much about it. It’s what my dad, who’s an agent, has arranged.”
“I don’t know if the club has received any offers, but I’m happy to be at Real Madrid and I want to stay here for many years. I’m very happy,” he said.
Whether he one day winds up there or not, Rodrygo has a history with City because of his goals against it in the Champions League.
“They are an opponent against whom I scored goals against,” he noted. “I was happy against it, other times not so much. Now I’m in a very good moment and I can be decisive. I always try to be, not just against City. It’s special because they’re one of the best teams in the world.”
